Susan Henebry is a partner in Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey’s Education Group.  Her practice focuses on issues facing educational institutions and corporate clients.

Susan’s expertise includes representing and counseling schools on all facets of education law, including risk mitigation, student issues, employment matters, tax-exempt financing, crisis management, internal investigations, and nonprofit governance.

Susan was the School Counsel and Assistant Business Manager at The Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut, an independent boarding school for nine years.  During her tenure at Taft, Susan served as the school’s general counsel for all its legal matters, its director of human resources and was responsible for the school’s risk management. She gained significant experience addressing the risks facing schools through her role as the Vice President of the Nutmeg Education Consortium and as a member of the United Educators Legal Advisory Committee.
