Rachel Wright

Description

Rachel is an experienced mathematics instructor and teacher leader with a demonstrated record of excellence and innovation in independent secondary education. She is skilled in curriculum design, instructional design and technology, and observation and professional growth models, and committed to mission-driven strategic project management. She has organized and presented at in-house professional development days at her school, and is looking to take her presentation skills and forward-thinking ideas to the greater community of independent school educators.

Rachel is eager to present to new teachers on instructional strategies, lesson planning, or assessment writing, as well as to experienced educators or department leaders who are interested in writing or revising curriculum. Though her primary experience is with mathematics, she has studied and implemented techniques in curriculum design that are relevant across disciplines. She has prepared presentations on Questioning for Cognitive Rigor, Interdisciplinarity, The T-Shaped Student, and Curriculum Design for Vertical Alignment, but could prepare presentations on many other topics drawing on her years of experience as an educator and educational leader.
