Description
Lisa Lamont is a lifelong learner and believes in challenging herself to always continue growing as an educator and an individual. She has over 11 years experience working with Technology in Independent Schools and is currently the Director of Innovation and Technology at Hopkins. Originally from southern California, Lisa previously served as the Educational Technology Coordinator as well as the Coding and Technology Initiative Coordinator at Windward School in West Los Angeles.
Lisa has experience in organizational change management and has helped schools successfully implement 1-1 device programs, BYOD, Learning Management and SIS changes. As an experienced facilitator, Lisa works with individuals and academic departments as they explore topics such as teaching in a technology rich classroom, innovative teaching practices and Maker Education. She has led teams such as the Technology Task Force, Tech Liaisons, Teacher Enrichment Cohort, Peer Coaching and Critical Friends Group.
In addition, Lisa has worked as a consultant with other independent schools and with the California Teacher Development Collaborative (CATDC) to provide meaningful professional development opportunities to faculty. She has presented at several conferences including ATLIS, CAIS, AAPT, InTELA Tech Day, USM Summer Spark and San Diego CUE.
She holds a Bachelors in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA and a Masters in Educational Technology and Media Leadership from CSULB.
