Lauren Porosoff has been an educator since 2000 and consults on designing curriculum and professional development that empowers students and teachers. Her work includes approaches to designing school programs that incorporate opportunities for teachers and students to explore and enact their values, based on contextual behavioral science. Lauren is the lead author of three books about how teachers and students can connect their work to their values: Curriculum at Your Core: Meaningful Teaching in the Age of Standards (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014), EMPOWER Your Students: Tools to Inspire a Meaningful School Experience (Solution Tree, 2017) and the upcoming Two-for-One Teaching: Connecting Instruction to Student Values in Grades 6-12 (Solution Tree, 2019). She has also written for AMLE Magazine, Connections Quarterly, Independent School, Kappan, the PBS NewsHour Teachers’ Lounge Blog, Rethinking Schools, and Teaching Tolerance.
