Edward “Ned” Heckman

My name is Ned Heckman. I moved to the Loomis Chaffee School four years ago after spending six years at St. Paul Academy and Summit School in St. Paul, MN. I am a capacity builder- for my students, and more recently, for my colleagues. I co-direct our New Faculty cohort here at Loomis Chaffee, and love to share what I know about research-informed teaching, DEI and work-life balance with our newest colleagues. I am a recent graduate of the Klingenstein Leadership Academy (Ed. M. in Private School Leadership). My next professional aspiration is to share what I know with new teachers, and I am eager to be involved with the New England New Teacher Seminar. I am happy to share more materials, including writing samples, if requested.
