Connie Blunden
Director, Center for Public Purpose/History Teacher
Description
I have been on the faculty at Greenwich Academy since 1994. I have been a member of the History Department since joining GA and am currently teaching a United States: Civil Rights course and an Advanced Civil Rights elective. In addition to the classroom, I have served in additional roles that have allowed me to connect with the local community. For fourteen years I was the Director of the Greenwich Academy Talent Enrichment summer program and for ten years I led the Community Service program. Most recently my focus has been on expanding global programs while also establishing our new Center for Public Purpose. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio (Go Cavs!) and received my Bachelors of Science from Cornell University and a Masters in Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University. I am a certified Level I and II Kingian Nonviolence Trainer.
