Description

The Enrollment and Community Engagement Coordinator works closely with the Head of School, the Assistant Head of School, the Director of our Montessori Program, as well as the Board of Trustees and the Development Team. The coordinator oversees admission and enrollment processes for the entire school and will develop and run marketing initiatives in order to expand enrollment.

This position is year-round and in person.

Admission and Enrollment Duties:

  • Work directly with Ezra’s leadership team.
  • Meet with and lead all prospective families through the admission process.
  • Schedule and lead tours with prospective families including our international applicants.
  • Review Flexible Tuition applications, meet with the Tuition Committee to determine financial award amounts, draft contracts, and oversee enrollment and re-enrollment for all families.
  • Manage enrollment timeline, applicant data, and calendar of related tours and events

Retention, Outreach, Marketing Duties:

  • Work directly with the Chair of our Outreach Committee.
  • Attend Outreach meetings, determine agenda items and educate Parent Ambassadors.
  • Assist the Head of School and others to maintain the retention of current students.
  • Coordinate events that combine current and prospective families focused on building, expanding, and sustaining our reputation as an excellent school.
  • Cultivate relationships with feeder schools and organizations: preschools, synagogues, parents, and other professionals at local colleges and universities.
  • Collaborate with synagogues, and other Jewish non-profit organizations (PJ Library, JFS, JCC, the Federation) to engage Ezra more visibly in the larger Jewish community.
  • Prepare and share all enrollment data with the Head of School and Board.
  • Attend enrollment and marketing professional development seminars.

The ideal candidate has the following education, experience and skill set:

  • Experience working in marketing and outreach efforts in a  Jewish Day School setting.
  • Private school admission and enrollment experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge about Montessori education, k-8th grade pedagogy, and experience teaching or working in a Jewish school, synagogue, or other similar institution.
  • Excellent written expression and the ability to address various constituents orally and in writing, the ability to draft promotional materials, and marketing plans; facility with public speaking in small groups and in the larger public setting.
  • Ability to engage positively with colleagues; is an organized, strategic planner and problem-solver; has a sense of humor.
  • College degree (required), graduate-level coursework or ongoing learning, a plus
