Evening for World Language Educators

Thursday, February 15, 2024 (Snow Date: February 22)
5:00 – 8:00 pm

The Annual CAIS Evening for World Language Educators will take place at Greens Farms Academy this year.  This is traditionally a wonderful opportunity for world language educators to share tips, mini lessons and to join in the fun of learning from colleagues in CAIS Schools. We hope you can join us for an evening focused on collective sharing, engaged discussion and interactive fun that includes appetizers, dinner and dessert!
Bring a colleague from your department to come along for the experience and/or come ready to meet some new friends!

Presentations include:

  • Make It a Game: go-to games for circumlocution, vocabulary building, and grammar reinforcement
  • Using AI-Generated Escape Stories in the Classroom
  • Empowering Language Education: Building a Teaching Website with PBwork for Enhanced Learning Experiences
  • Using short stories in class – Easy Comprehensible Input Activities
  • Flip the Script! Ideas for using EdPuzzle and Flip (formerly known as FlipGrid)

Schedule for the Evening:
5:00PM-Welcome, appetizers and networking conversations
5:15PM-6:25PM – Mini workshops (Part 1)
6:25PM – Buffet Dinner and Discussion
7:15PM-8:00PM – Mini Workshops (Part 2), plus desserts
