The Future of Learning Is NOW:
Who Can I Trust? Navigating Social & Modern Media
August 20, 2024
9:00AM – 12:45PM
Virtual
- What is your biggest challenge when talking about the news with your students?
- How can someone who has worked in media and information for 20 years best help you?
- What’s a question you would ask a journalist today about the state of things?
Join us on August 20 with veteran journalist Mosheh Oinounou to explore and respond to these questions and more. As in previous years, FOLIN will provide you with an opportunity to hear remarks from a thought leader and to process them in more intimate breakout spaces with discussion facilitators. As we prepare for a polarized election season in the midst of challenging world events, this program promises to give you a safe and brave space to have those hard conversations about how to identify trustworthy news media sources for yourself and your students. There will be time set aside for generative discussions by grade level and by topic.
