Description

A Four-Week Synchronous & Asynchronous Program. All content will be released on Mondays prior to the live Zoom session.

Weekly Zoom meetings on:

  • Thursday, July 9 from 9-10am EST
  • Wednesday, July 15 from 9-10am EST
  • Thursday, July 23 from 9-10am EST
  • Thursday, July 30 from 9-10am EST

The summer cohort is a 4 week, deep dive into the process behind implementing successful e-learning/blended learning. Each week will outline a particular section of the process through pre-recorded, virtual content, as well as a one hour live session on Zoom. Participants will explore all of the decisions and considerations involved in the planning process, get a quick crash course in instructional design, learn tips and tricks for planning content, as well as receive guidance for the implementation process. Put together, the 4 weeks of content will provide the initial framework you will need to make informed decisions that are tailored to the needs of your students, your families, and your school. Topics will include:

  • Decisions and Considerations Before you Start
  • Overview of Instructional Design
  • Planning Content
  • Implementation

 

Kelly Bryant Levitas, Instructional Design Assistant for LDT Student Agency, University of Colorado Denver

Kelly taught in early childhood for over nine years. She has worked with blended, interdisciplinary learning throughout her career and created the first ever blended courses for children in PK and Kindergarten for Indian Creek School. She has presented a number of seminars on blended learning and interdisciplinary learning at national conferences including  ISTE, NAEYC, NAIS, AIMS, OESIS, and NSTA, created 3 webinars for OESIS about how to implement cross-curricular, blended learning in early childhood and published an article on  Blended, Interdisciplinary Learning in ISTE EdTekHub. During the COVID-19 crisis, Kelly has been assisting with E-learning services for various organizations including leading a four-week Early Childhood Distance Learning cohort for CAIS.
